About me

Nina Marot is a law professional, passionate to find legal and practical solutions in the field of privacy and data protection law. After several years of practical experience in law and policy within the private sector, European and International Institutions, Nina is currently pursuing an LL.M degree in Law, Science & Technology at Stanford Law School (expected June 2016).

Nina already holds an LL.M degree in International Human Rights and Intellectual Property Law, from Lund University, Sweden. In her thesis she researched whether the concept of ownership of personal information could increase the level of an individual's privacy.

Nina completed her Bachelor degree in Law (J.D. equivalent) in Ljubljana, Slovenia, with a thesis on the right to privacy on the Internet in light of social networking sites (Pravica do zasebnosti na medmrežju v luči novih socialnih mrež).
